Little Superhero Alphabet Adventure

Helen Dewhurst

Illustrated by Garry Vaux

A bright and colourful book to help educate, encourage and empower children with a healthy start in life. The positive Little Superhero role model children go on an adventure through the alphabet embracing fundamental movement skills and linking sounds and actions.

From birth to age 5, a child's brain develops more than at any other time in life. Such early brain development impacts the child's ability to learn and succeed. By creating fun, engaging movement opportunities we are helping children to fulfil their potential.

Teaching letter sounds with movement is a must! Join the fun Little Superheroes as they run, jump, hop and zoom through the alphabet. A fun, active start book that supports children in the Early Years Foundation Stage and beyond as well as parents, teachers and practitioners.

When it comes to learning letter sounds, teaching with movement is key. The fact is that children learn best by incorporating body movement and physical activity.

Helen would love to see the Little Superhero active learning series in classrooms, nurseries and homes inspiring and supporting children with the best start in life. A book that really helps build strong foundations.

Deborah Sykes

Azraelle: Angel of Life and Death

By Deborah Sykes

Illustrated by Alison Brown

Author Deborah Sykes is also the creator and founder of 12 Million Minds CIC, a mental health service, where she delivers support as an Emotional Health Coach.

Emotional Health Coaching helps clients manage their emotions and understand their behaviours attached to their emotions.

Death of a loved one is one of the biggest traumas that children can experience, and if the whole family are affected by the same trauma, speaking to the children is the hardest part.

Deborah has the privilege of working with amazing families, and children, especially those on the autism spectrum who don't fully understand death in the softer language or shielded way a family may choose to communicate.

Deborah has written this book to explain death using an angel called Azraelle. Through Azraelle she answers the questions that, in her experience, children need answers to.

This lovely book looks at death from the point of view of both those left behind to grieve and those who face death. It explains death in language that is not patronising but honest and true and that holds relevance that a child can relate to.

The book is split into two elements - each upside down to the other with the two converging at the middle.
